We had a long, hot day here in Haiti. Most of us went to Ensa Felour (Voo Doo Mountain) to pass out 100 sacks of rice. The pastor at the small church there was not able to reach everyone in time so we unloaded all of the rice, hung around for a bit, and then it started to turn into chaos. It was a beautiful drive, very bumpy, but absolutely beautiful ocean & hillsides. We were a bit disappointed that we could not personally pass out the food, but we know that whoever receives it will be blessed.
Tomorrow, most of us are going to the Far West and Jac Bel (or something
like that). Jeff and Billy are staying here to do the men's fellowship
meeting.
Maxine, Toby, and Donna are staying here to be with the Gran Moun and
the mom's program. Those of us going to the Far West, etc., will be
spending the night somewhere out there. We will not get back until
sometime on Thursday. I will send another email on Thursday to let
you know what happened and that we are back safely. We plan to do a
VBS in Jac Bel and drop 300 bags of beans & rice in the Far West
and 450 bags of beans & rice in Jac Bel. It is supposed to take
4 hours to get to Jac Bel. That should be interesting in the back of
a big dump truck.
Keep us in your prayers. We are having a great time, but are looking forward to the comforts of home about now.
