This morning, most of us went to the orphanage to do a VBS. It went
really well and then we took them to the beach again. We shared sack
lunches with them before we left. We left 100 sacks of beans, rice,
and 10 Haitian dollars at the orphanage for the hungry families near
the orphanage. Then, we went to a Hurricane Relief Station that the
mission sponsors.
We gave out 100 bags of food there and it was really organized and
went very smoothly. We had to take a "tap tap" back to the
mission and that was really exciting (ha ha).
It is soooo hot here. Maxine, Donna, & Toby stayed at the mission all day and spent time with the gran moun and nutrition program. It was too hot for them to leave the compound and the truck rides are too hard on them.
We are all surviving the hot sun and sweat. Continue to pray for us. Most of us are planning to go to Ensa Feluer (wrong spelling) - Voo Doo Mountain tomorrow to pass out 100 20-lb. bags of rice to the families in the area.
That's the plan for now. Things can often change here.
